Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, Supports Local High School Seniors With College Scholarships

With support from local McDonald’s Owner/Operators, Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities offers scholarships to students facing limited access to educational opportunities. Eligible graduating high school seniors are invited to apply for scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each. A committee made up of local educators, community leaders, McDonald’s representatives, ARMHC Board members and others review applications and select winners based on the following criteria:

  • Academic achievement demonstrated through grade point average and test scores
  • Financial need documented through disclosure of family income and educational costs
  • Community involvement and leadership potential demonstrated through applicant’s essay and letters of recommendation
